The Department of Finance, Faculty of Management Sciences, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria, invites scholars, researchers, policymakers, industry practitioners, and innovators to submit original and unpublished papers for its 2nd International Conference themed “Financial Resilience: Navigating Technology Disruptions, Global Risk and Sustainable Development in an Era of Global Economic Uncertainty.” The conference seeks to advance critical discourse on how financial systems, institutions, and markets can withstand, adapt, and thrive amid rapid technological change, heightened global risks, and sustainability imperatives. Contributions are welcomed that interrogate the transformative role of emerging technologies such as AI, blockchain, fintech, and digital payments, while also addressing associated risks including cybersecurity, algorithmic bias, systemic instability, and regulatory challenges within both traditional and digital financial ecosystems.

Prospective authors are encouraged to submit conceptual, theoretical, or empirical papers aligned with the conference theme and sub-themes, including but not limited to financial technology and innovation, market volatility and investment, monetary policy, regulation and governance, corporate finance, sustainable entrepreneurship, data analytics and AI, public finance, Islamic finance, pensions, insurance, and risk management. The conference provides a multidisciplinary platform for robust engagement on policy, business, and managerial implications, fostering knowledge exchange that supports resilient, inclusive, and sustainable financial practices. All submissions will undergo double-blind peer review, with accepted papers published in the conference proceedings (ISBN) and considered for publication in the Department’s journals.
